Spring Pansies
12" Block

99Pansies.gif (10847 bytes)

Fabric selection:

This a 12" Block finished (12 " Unfinished)  It's fairly easy to make using fabric scraps using either a white background or a colored background, as shown above.  You may applique the flowers by hand or leave off the seam allowances and applique by machine.

Piece the leaves using dark green fabric. The Pansies can be made up of blues, purple and/or deep reds for a conventional look or experiment with other colors for a more personalized look.

Print all the copies you will need of the pattern to insure that the pattern is the same size for all blocks.

Prepare for your favorite applique method by cutting the template pieces as indicated on the individual template.

Place leaves first. Then add the flowers, as shown in the illustration on  the left. In the center add the circles. Cut away the excess behind the flowers, if you desire.

To save images for your use simple place your mouse cursor over the image and right click. Choose "save image".
