Hearts n Flowers
6" Block
This 6" Block is a great one for that Valentine quilt to make
for your loved one. It's beautiful and easy to make. Applique by hand or leave off
the seam allowances and applique by machine.
Prepare for your favorite applique method by cutting the
leaves and the hearts which will be sewn to the background fabric. For the
background fabric cut a 6½" square.
Place large heart first and cut away the background fabric from behind it to
reduce bulk. Then add the two large leaves. And then the mid-size Heart. Once the first
layer of hearts and leaves are complete, add the second, smaller layer of heart and leaf
patches. Again cut away the excess behind the flowers, if you desire.
