The Wedding Quilt

I received the message below from Todd B. I found the quilt design so beautiful that I asked if he would care to share the design with you our quilting web surfers. He gave us permission to show the design and I'm am sure you will be amazed at what a little creativity can do even for beginners.

The message from Todd:

My mom found your page and the autumn leaf block. I'm Canadian and my fiancée is American, so my mom's making us a quilt with (Canadian) maple leaves in my fiancée's favorite colors.

I sat down and designed the layout with her today, and it looks great! I just thought you might like the feedback on your block. What I did was scan some sample fabric and use that to color the layout.

I wanted to tell you that this is the first time I've had *anything* to do with quilting. To my knowledge, my mom has done only one quilt before. I'm not trying to get onto your site as a featured artist or anything, I just thought you might have a greater appreciation for our design knowing this.
