Your Skills are Needed to Create a Charity Quilt

There are many organizations that create and give quilts to the underprivileged or sick men, women, and children in need of comfort.  Nine are listed below.  If you cannot help with money, how about time, fabric, quilts, thread? Every little bit counts.  If you are not sure your efforts would be appreciated, read what one visitor had to say about the gift her nephew received. It will break your heart.

The Organizations

After receiving Carol's letter a few years ago, we added the following organizations that could use your help. As you can see from the letter above, the quilts can make a big difference in someone's life.  However, because CompuQuilt cannot guarantee the validity of any organization listed on these pages, we request that as a precaution, you check with the person or organization before sending any donation.

Victoria's Quilts For Cancer Patients:

Victoria's Quilts make quilts for cancer patients....and lots of quillows for patients to take with them to chemo treatments (which make you very cold) I was hoping to gain some help in the quilting community in finding anyone across the country who would be willing to help us by making tops, lap size quilts, blocks, most anything. I also send quilts out around the country to cancer patients of all ages.
